Why do we need a separate Telangana state?

What is TRS up to?  Or rather what is K. Chandrasekhara Rao up to?

K. Chandrasekhara Rao left the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) following differences with the then Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Laymen would never know the right reason for the differences but what has been projected was KCR holding Naidu responsible for crisis faced by farmers, weavers and other poorer sections of society in the Telengana region, lack of medical amenities to the  tribal people of Adilabad district who fell victim to diseases and the Lambadas selling away their infants owing to abject poverty and of course the big question of Chandrababu Naidu doing everything in his power to prevent the closure of Vishakhapatnam Steel plant and doing nothing about the closure of Fertilizer Cor-poration of India Limited (FCI) at Ramagundam.

So, K. Chandrasekhara Rao is fighting for the common man, for the poor and the needy. He claims that the current movement is different from the one witnessed in 1969. The TRS vows to achieve its goal through "constitutional and peaceful means".….Oh yeah…less bloodshed is it? Meaning less than 1969 and of course a loss of 250 crores of revenue/property is considered as a peaceful means.  And adding to this idiosyncrasy the Pulichintala project at Nemalipuri village in Nalgonda district is stalled saying submerging of 35000 acres of land in Telangana is not acceptable to stabilize the Krishna Delta. But the fact is this project would in fact benefit Telengana with an additional share of 35 tmc ft of water from the Krishna for projects in the region.

The eternal question of the common man still goes unanswered- Why do we need a separate state and at what expense?
